Session 1: WALLS a) Explaining drywall and blockim/cement walls b) Hanging pictures and shelves / How to use wall plugs / jumbos c) How to use drills d) Repairing holes in walls / drywall and blockim / repairs with plaster Session 2: SYSTEMS in your home a) Cleaning AC filters / how to clear drain pipe b) Repairing screens / patch a screen c) Fixing or adjusting cupboard doors / how to glue back a hinge bracket Session 3: Plumbing Basics – INPUT a) Explain water pressure / water input b) Clean/tighten tap spout (aerator) c) Attach tap to sink (changing tap) d) How pipes are hooked up / main water valve / Chanukiahs e) Hook up water feeds f) Change shower handle / Glue shower handle holder to wall g) Plumbing (Teflon) tape / Rescue (silicone) tape for small leaks h) Demonstrate how valve works (ball inside) / show different valves i) Install/ change filters Session 4: Plumbing Basics - OUTPUT a) Understanding how a drain systems works / cleaning drain traps / unclogging pipes b) Understanding how a toilet works / fixing or replacing filling & flushing mechanisms Session 5: BASIC ELECTRIC a) Explain how electricity runs in a circuit b) How to repair or change a switch or outlet that is falling out c) How to hang a light Session 6: INTERMEDIATE ELECTRIC a) Learning about your circuit breaker panel b) Make your own extension cords All materials and tools are supplied.
